The Sixers Should Get Rid of Joel Embiid and Keep Ben Simmons

Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why the Philadelphia 76ers are about to enter into a critical period in their franchise’s history as they will have to soon decide what they want to do with their two young superstars Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid.

It was rumored that Sixers GM Elton Brand considered trading former no. 1 overall pick Ben Simmons last offseason because of worries that Simmons’ game might not be meshing with Embiid’s, nor will it translate in an NBA game that is no longer coveting pass-first point guards.

Cowherd agrees that the NBA is obviously going in a much different direction of what types of players are valued and which ones are going extinct, but Colin thinks it’s SIMMONS who should be the guy the Sixers keep and NOT Embiid.

Check out the audio below as Colin says the Houston Rockets have designed the blueprint to succeed in a modern NBA… Either have a guy who can shoot three’s OR a guy who can GET those guys the ball. Which would leave Embiid 0 for 2 in those check marks.
