Sam Darnold is coming off of probably his toughest loss as a rookie quarterback for the New York Jets against the Miami Dolphins. While some of the stats are closer to his averages, he came out of that game with four sacks, four interceptions and his lowest quarterback rating of the season at 31.8 which can be incredibly demoralizing.

Reportedly Sam Darnold has sustained an injury and will sit out the Jets next game against the Buffalo Bills and then the team will enter their bye week. Jason Smith doesn't think this is a real injury and the timing of the team going into a bye has more to do giving Darnold a break in hopes of not hurting his confidence.
